ACTIVITY INSTRUCTOR APPRENTICESHIP SCHEME
Inspire Others….. Challenge Yourself – Come & join our Apprenticeship scheme!
If you’re passionate about working in the outdoors, inspiring young people to learn through having fun and helping them to become the best they can be and want the chance to work towards recognised outdoor industry qualifications, then Kingswood could be the place for you!
Each year we recruit over 300 enthusiastic Apprentice Instructors to work at our educational activities centres and train our instructors to deliver a huge range of outdoor and classroom based activities to thousands of school groups that visit our centres throughout the year.
We’re all about inspiring young people aged 7-17 to learn through having fun, we call it ‘learning by doing’ and as an Apprentice Instructor you will introduce guests to a range of adventure activities that meet the groups learning outcomes and could include abseiling, archery, climbing, fencing, go karts, quad biking, low ropes, high ropes, team building, problem solving or watersports.
You will also deliver exciting & interactive classroom based sessions which are ICT, language, environmental or scientifically based; as well as contributing to the delivery of our varied evening entertainments and special events.
Our Apprentice Instructor programme is the perfect starting point for you if you’re considering a career in the outdoor, leisure or education industries. Not only will you gain invaluable experience that will equip you for your future career but you will also achieve an Apprenticeship in Sport & Recreation including externally recognised qualifications, in house training and an NVQ Level 2 in Activity Leadership.
No experience is necessary, just a passion for wanting to work with young people and inspire them to learn in the outdoors. You’ll need plenty of energy, commitment and enthusiasm as well as the ability to confidently communicate with all our guests including the young people and their adult party leaders.
And We Pay for It!
We sponsor you to achieve these qualifications and you will also be paid a monthly apprentice training salary and be provided with subsidised accommodation and an optional food scheme. All we ask for in return is that you can commit to one year and work hard to give all our young visitors the best time of their lives.
Unfortunately not everyone can join this fantastic apprenticeship programme. The scheme is government funded and regulations are set by the Learning Skills Council (LSC) which determines who we can and can’t accept.
