West Runton
Just up the road from Overstrand, West Runton is an adventure haven for all age groups of kids. The atmosphere’s a little less serious here than it’s nearest Kingswood neighbour, as there’s no older students doing GCSE project work and the like, so simply “having fun learning” is definitely the name of the game! Runton is a beautiful spacious pine-fringed site, so if you’re into climbing trees there’s loads to take your fancy – however, if you prefer to do that with a proper harness on, there’s a fab Treetops Aerial Course - the only one in the whole of Kingswood! There’s also a list of other activities as long as your arm and with all ages of kids here, even the littlest people get to go on the biggest activities and they just love it – like Zipwire, Leap of Faith and Fan Descender!
Set high up on the clifftop, the beach is just a few minutes walk away, perfect for Rockpool Studies, Coastal Erosion modules and those all important beach volleyball games! When you’re not working there’s the Victorian seaside village of Cromer close by to explore, home of the famous crab! And you can always venture into the big-smoke of Norwich 45 minutes drive away for some serious shopping by day and partying by night…just don’t miss the last train home!
