The Kingswood experience is a fantastic opportunity to build your confidence, learn new skills as well as grow and develop as a person. It is the perfect stepping-stone into the leisure, education and hotel industries but more importantly, it is also a brilliant foundation course in life itself.

You will learn loads of new skills & develop abilities way beyond your current thinking; you will make enduring friendships, work hard and gain nationally recognised qualifications and awards.

How many people do you know who have an NGB in fencing, archery, and lifeguarding? Or an NVQ Level 2 in Activity Leadership? Or awards in first aid, food hygiene and safeguarding children.

Even if your next career is not in the leisure industry, our promise to you is great preparation for anything and the ability to tackle any challenge with ease.

Unfortunately not everyone can join our apprenticeship scheme. The scheme is government funded and strict regulations are set by the Learning Skills Council (LSC) which determines who we can and can't accept.

The main criteria for the scheme are;

• You must be aged 18 or over
• You must be an EU citizen and have lived within the EU continuously for the last 3 years.
• You must not already have an NVQ Level 2 in Activity Leadership or Sport & Recreation
• You must not hold an NVQ Level 3 or above qualification.
• You must not have a degree, HND, HNC or be studying towards a degree.
• You must not have a qualification related to Activity Leadership or Sport and Recreation that is a higher level qualification than an NVQ Level 2. (Please contact us and advise your qualification if you are not sure whether you fall into this category).

Unfortunately if you do not meet the criteria set above we are unable to contact you and progress with you application.

And who pays for this? We do! We sponsor you to achieve these qualifications, all we ask for in return is that you give all our young visitors the best time of their lives and commit for one year, otherwise it is difficult to achieve all of this.
