Kingswood is the UK’s leading school programme and youth holiday provider specialising in leading-edge ICT, Lifeskills, Environmental Field Studies & Adventure Activity residential courses. Our eleven activity centres across the UK and one in Northern France are visited by over 4000 schools annually. Due to continued company growth, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Customer Services Advisor based at our busy, friendly Head Office close to Norwich Airport. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is able to demonstrate outstanding customer service skills, a professional telephone manner, the ability to work under pressure and computer literacy.

Although Group Leaders are not required to run activity sessions, they will be present for some in a supervisory role so should familiarise themselves with “Being an Instructor” as well as this document.

Arrivals / Departures
Assist with the arrivals, departures and stay-over campers as directed by the CB Management Team. Ensure your group of Campers are packed ready for departure and know where and at what time they have to meet. Assist other Centre Teams as and when necessary.

• To be responsible for the pastoral care of the campers and act in loco-parentis.
• To maintain 24 hour supervision of your designated group of campers, in co-operation with your co-Group Leader and relevant Activity Instructors.
• Supervise your group of Campers during designated activities.
• Ensure your group of Campers are up, washed, dressed and ready for breakfast on time.
• Supervise your group of Campers during all meal times, ensuring they get sufficient to eat and drink.
• Supervise and entertain your designated group of Campers during free time.
• Ensure your Campers’ rooms are tidy, maintaining good levels of Health, Safety & Hygiene and ready for inspection every morning.
• Carry out night duties, ensuring campers are in bed at the designated time and they go to sleep without disturbing others. Act as a point of contact throughout the night for your group.

• Ensure the Company’s Health & Safety policy is adhered to and that good standards of Health & Safety are maintained at all times.
• Ensure your group of Campers are dressed appropriately for weather conditions and activities they will be doing.
• Escort your group of Campers to activity sessions led by Activity Instructors and assist with supervision where necessary. Where your presence is not required on session, ensure you are back at the activity at least 5 minutes before the end, ready to collect your group.

• Record all incidents involving campers in your group and report to your Senior Group Leader.
• Liaise with your Senior Group Leader on a daily basis.
• Compile hand-over notes for your days off and ensure they are given to your SGL to be collected by the next Group Leader supervising that group.
• Any other tasks requested by the Camp Leader or Senior Group Leader deemed relevant to this role.
• Make sure you have your Group Leader Handbook with you at all times and you thoroughly familiarise yourself with it.
